macOS Monterey 12.3.1
This update is recommended for all users and improves the security of macOS.

What does it mean?!

Apple has released a new update for Monterey. Oftentimes when an update is released the language doesn't quite explain what is happening, and without explanation or any new functions.

Why would we need to update it?

Software updates not only add new features and remove outdated ones, they also fix security holes and fix/remove bugs. Consistently updating your software helps protect your data as well as protect those who interact with your system.

macOS Monterey 12.3.1 update addresses two bugs as well as patching two zero-day vulnerability threats. These two bug fixes include resolving an issue with connectivity issues involving a second display for the Mac mini when you use USB-C or Thunderbolt for an external connection. The second bug fix involves connectivity with Bluetooth devices disconnecting from your Mac after playing audio through Beats headphones.

A full list of all the security updates included in this release can be found here.
